A Lexington teen was shot in the ankle Tuesday in an apparent drive-by shooting, police say.
Two groups of several teenagers got into an argument a little after midnight Tuesday in the area of West Loudon Avenue and Broadway, Lexington police Lt. Doug Pape said. When the groups separated, someone fired a shot from a passing vehicle and hit a 16-year-old boy in the ankle, Pape said.
The teenager, who has not been identified, and his friends went into the Thorntons gas station on Broadway to report the shooting, Pape said. The victim was taken to University of Kentucky Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made. Police said the car involved in the shooting was a gold Cadillac or Ford.
