A Lexington man has pleaded guilty to federal charges that he produced and possessed child pornography.
Between 40,000 and 50,000 photographs and 2,349 videos of suspected child pornography were found on David Martin Allen's computer, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's office.
Allen, 37, apparently took photos of two children, ages 7 and 5 years old.
As part of a plea agreement, he agreed to give up a vehicle he used in committing the crimes.

Allen, who is scheduled for sentencing at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 11, could face 15 to 40 years in prison.
He was a former roommate of Joseph Leitner, who pleaded guilty in July to receiving child pornography and agreed to forfeit his Chevy Chase home as part of a plea agreement, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
