Lexington man pleads not guilty in Paris shooting

A Lexington man pleaded not guilty to attempted murder Wednesday in Bourbon District Court.

Roderick Hill, 22, was arrested early Saturday after a shooting in Paris.

Bryan Peyton, 35, of Paris, was shot three times while standing at Seventh and Main streets.

Paris police said Hill fled the scene and was arrested in another part of town.

Peyton was taken to University of Kentucky Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Hill is scheduled to return to court Sept. 16 for a preliminary hearing.
