A Jackson County man, said by authorities to have been involved in a Lexington gas station robbery in July that left his accomplice dead, has been indicted on a first-degree robbery charge by a Fayette County grand jury.
Gary Lee Isaacs, 54, was indicted Tuesday. He is accused of being with Lavonna Dillon on July 9 when she held up the Shell Oil station on Newtown Pike, took a store clerk hostage and shot at Lexington police officers.
Dillon was fatally shot during the incident.
Police found Isaacs hiding in a car in Jackson County on July 17. Arraignment for Isaacs was set for Sept. 18.
