A boil-water advisory has been issued for about 275 Kentucky American Water customers in Clark County.
The advisory was issued Monday afternoon because of a break in a Winchester Municipal Utilities water main, Kentucky American said in a news release.
The advisory affects customers on Amster Grove Lane, Asher Lane, Boonesboro Road, Bridgeview Lane, Coffee Springs Road, Fort Hampton Road, Hidden Grove Lane, Lisletown Lane, Lisletown Court, Quisenberry Lane, Ralston Lane, School House Lane and Setzlers Lane.
Customers in those areas are asked to boil for three minutes any tap water they intend to use for consumption, such as for cooking, drinking or making ice. Customers should continue this practice for 36 hours unless notified by Kentucky American.
