The construction of a pedestrian bridge connecting the University of Kentucky HealthCare parking garage with the new UK hospital will affect traffic on South Limestone between Cooper Drive and Virginia Avenue for about a month.
Construction started Tuesday, and it will continue between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. weekdays. The project is expected to take about a month, weather permitting.
The work will close one, and sometimes two, lanes of traffic. Lane closures will shift across South Limestone as the project progresses.
UK students, faculty and staff are encouraged to tune to 1700 AM for campus parking and transportation information.
