A Lexington man who police say led officers on a chase will appear in court Wednesday for an arraignment on a first-degree robbery charge.
Police say Laron F. Cobb, 28, of Lexington was driving a tan Nissan Maxima with no visible license plate at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday on Mt. Tabor Road at Richmond Road. The car matched the description of a vehicle used in a Shell gas station robbery Nov. 9 on Richmond Road, Lexington police Lt. Doug Pape said.
Cobb did not stop when police attempted to pull him over and led officers on a low-speed chase that ended on Osage Court, Pape said.
Cobb is to be be arraigned at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Fayette District Court.

In addition to the robbery charge, Cobb was charged with possession of a handgun by a felon; receiving stolen property; reckless driving; fleeing and evading police; and having expired or improper registration plates.
