A 25-year-old Lexington man led police on a chase along Man o' War Boulevard early Sunday until he flipped the stolen car he was driving and was thrown from it.
Charles Deandre Russell was treated for minor injuries at University of Kentucky Hospital. Police charged him with vehicular theft, fleeing police, wanton endangerment and driving on a suspended license.
Police spotted a stolen 1997 Plymouth Breeze at 6:29 a.m. near Man o' War and Interstate 75. Russell evaded attempts to stop the car, police said, and fled toward Rio Dosa, where he struck the curb and flipped down an embankment. Nobody else was in the car, police said.
