Man indicted in deaths of Grayson motorcyclists

A Rowan County grand jury indicted Brian Robinette, 39, on two counts of second-degree manslaughter in the deaths of two motorcyclists. Robinnette also was charged with one count of wanton endangerment.

The indictment was returned Tuesday.

The case dates to an incident in early August, when Robinette lost control of his 1994 Camaro on Ky. 1274 in Rowan County, striking motorcyclists William Walker, 62, and Bruce Miller, 64, both of Grayson. Miller and Walker were rushed to the University of Kentucky Hospital but didn't survive.

Police initially reported that Robinette, who was traveling west, ran off the edge of the roadway, overcorrected and crossed the center line, hitting the oncoming motorcyclists. Officers later said Robinette was driving under the influence.
