Pedestrian struck in downtown Lexington

A pedestrian was hospitalized Monday morning after being hit by a car at the intersection of Main Street and Broadway.

Lexington police would not release the identities of those involved in the accident.

Police were called at 6:48 a.m., when a man was hit by a navy blue Honda Civic. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver told police she was heading north on Broadway and did not see the man, who was walking on Main Street, Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said. The victim was taken to University of Kentucky Hospital.

No charges have been filed.
