Lexington police used a Taser on a teenager who ran while being questioned Tuesday night.
An officer had stopped the 17-year-old, who was walking in the Georgetown Road and Bradley Court area, because he thought the teen could be a suspect in a crime committed earlier this week, said Lt. David Marcum.
While the officer was patting the teen down, he felt a gun in his pocket, and then the boy ran.
When officers caught up with him in a backyard on Bradley Court, he refused to obey commands, Marcum said. The Taser was used to subdue him, Marcum said.
The boy's name is not being released because he is a juvenile, Marcum said. He faces charges of wanton endangerment, fleeing and evading police and being a felon in possession of a handgun.
