Scott man accused of drug trafficking had 324 pills in car, police say

A Scott County man was arrested for drug trafficking Tuesday night after being pulled over by a state trooper for excessive window tint, according to a news release from state police.

Frank Cuellar, 39, of Georgetown, was found with more than 5 grams of cocaine, 324 prescription pills and $8,700 in cash in his car, the release said. He was pulled over by trooper Joseph Johnson on U.S. 25 in northern Scott County.

Trooper Ron Turley, a spokesman for state police, said Johnson obtained probable cause and asked Cuellar if he could search the car, which the driver agreed to.

"I guess a lot of people think we won't find it, but we do," Turley said.

Cuellar was taken to the Scott County Detention Center.

Police have asked that anyone who suspects drug activity in Anderson, Fayette, Franklin, Scott, Shelby, Spencer and Woodford Counties report it anonymously by calling (502) 227-2221 or 1-800-DOPE-TIP.
