Cynthiana woman in critical condition after crash

A three-vehicle crash Monday morning on Russell Cave Road in Lexington left a woman from Cynthiana, Jenny M. Barker, 29, in critical condition at the University of Kentucky Hospital.

Lexington police said an inbound Dodge Neon rear-ended a Dodge Caravan, then hit an oncoming Cutlass Cierra head-on near the intersection with Faulkner Road.

Barker was a passenger in the Cutlass, which was driven by Chad A. Hurst, 28, of Cynthiana. Hurst suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Neon, Rebeca Sanchez Rodrigo, 20, of Paris, was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital with minor injuries.

The Caravan's driver, Lee Eldridge, 67, of Lexington, was not injured.
