A 70-year-old woman was safely returned home Wednesday, a day after she wandered away from her family's Dunkirk Drive home.
Mary Harbert was last seen around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday by a relative, Lexington fire battalion chief Marshall Griggs said.
Police issued an alert for the missing woman, who family members said suffers from schizophrenia.
A taxi driver reported seeing the woman around 11 a.m. Wednesday. She was found at a barber shop on East Loudon Avenue, around 5 miles from her home.
She was not injured.
"Other than being a little hungry and thirsty ... she was not in need of our services," Griggs said.
