Lexington police have arrested a man they suspect was responsible for a string of peeping Tom reports in downtown Lexington this year.
Carey Russell Ragan, 45, of Lexington was arrested Monday at 426 North Broadway after Transylvania University police saw him in a fenced-in yard, apparently peering through a woman's window.
Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said those officers called Lexington police for backup, and when they made contact with Ragan, he had two bottles of personal lubricant in his possession.
He was charged with third-degree voyeurism, second-degree criminal trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Roberts said detectives are confident that Ragan is the peeper but that more charges are not likely because witnesses have not been able to identify Ragan.
Ragan was arrested earlier this month for criminal trespass and marijuana possession, court records show.
Repeated reports of a man looking into windows began in early March in the 500 and 600 blocks of West Short Street in Lexington.
