After a second wave of vandalism, Crime Stoppers offers reward

Bluegrass Crime Stoppers has offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in a rash of vandalism cases in Lexington recently.

Early Wednesday morning, residents of the Pickway neighborhood near Man o' War Boulevard and Nicholasville Road awoke to find that about 30 cars parked on the street and in driveways had their slashed tires and paint scratched.

On Thursday, several more cars had been vandalized overnight on Trent Boulevard and Redding Road, police Lt. Scott Blakely said. This time, vandals had apparently shot out car windows with a BB gun.

Blakely said it's too early to say whether the incidents are related.

"We're still working on trying to develop suspects," he said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (859) 258-3600 or Bluegrass Crime Stoppers at (859) 253-2020.
