Lexington police are investigating an early Tuesday morning break-in in which a man entered a house's unlocked window and masturbated in a room where two girls were sleeping.
The man did not touch either girl, and he fled after the older child awoke to see him in the room, police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.
Roberts said police were not told by the family that one of the children woke up to find the man kissing her leg, as a parent described to a local media outlet.
The break-in was reported after 3 a.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of Alexandria Drive, Roberts said. Some money was taken from a dresser, she said.
