A pregnant Manchester woman and the baby she carried were killed when she was ejected from a sport-utility vehicle after running off a Clay County road.
Police were notified of the single-vehicle crash on Buzzard Road at 8:03 p.m. Tuesday.
Stacey Bundy, 30, and her unborn child were pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital in Manchester by Clay County Coroner Jim Trosper. Her passenger, Edward Roark Jr. was treated for injuries that were not life threatening.
Bundy was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer that ran off the road, traveled down an embankment and struck several trees before overturning.

Bundy and Roark, who were not wearing seat belts, were thrown from the vehicle during the crash. Bundy was seven months pregnant.
No alcohol or drug use was suspected.
