A woman struck by a vehicle on Eastern Kentucky University's campus Thursday was in fair condition Friday morning at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.
Cindy Hurt was originally listed in serious condition but was upgraded by Friday morning.
Hurt, a senior office associate in the EKU Mathematics and Statistics Department, was hit by a car on Kit Carson Drive near Clay Hall about 4:45 p.m. Thursday, university spokesman Marc Whitt said. Whitt said Hurt was in the street in a crosswalk when the vehicle hit her.
Emergency workers told officers Hurt apparently suffered head and neck injuries, Whitt said.
