One of the four men injured in a flash fire at the Kingsford Charcoal plant in Pulaski County on Sept. 24 died Thursday afternoon.
Jerry King, 42, died at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center due to complications from the burns he suffered on 60 percent of his body, according to the Fayette County coroner's office.
Three other workers were injured in the fire at the plant. As of 5 p.m. Thursday, Dana Mayrand and Gayson Roberts were listed in critical condition at the UK hospital, and Jamie Dancy was listed in serious condition.
A fund has been established at First and Farmers National Bank to help the victims and their families, said Rob Service, a spokesman for the charcoal plant.
