Frankfort police look for robber who held up Taco John's

A Frankfort fast-food restaurant was robbed Thursday night by a man wearing silver mirrored glasses, Frankfort police said.

The robbery occurred about 8:10 p.m. at Taco John's at 1150 Lawrenceburg Road. A man with a silver handgun demanded cash and left on foot after employees complied, police said. Witnesses told police the man ran off in the direction of Ridgewood Lane.

The suspect was described as a black male with a small build and about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9. He was wearing mirrored glasses, a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Frankfort police said anyone with information about the crime should call them at (502) 875-8523. Information also may be given anonymously to Frankfort Crime Stoppers by calling (502) 875-8648 or going to Frankfortcrimestoppers.com.
