Crews have finished installing a new transformer to replace one that blew Monday, causing periodic power outages in Paris.
Kevin Crump, utility director for Paris Combined Utilities, said the power company finished the work about midnight Tuesday. The company had asked residents to use only essential lights and electrical items on Monday and Tuesday because substations were carrying extra loads to make up for the blown transformer.
On Wednesday, Crump said he appreciated residents' help in conserving energy.
