Auditions for the Mystery Dinner Theatre production "Trouble at the Tropicabana" will be held 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 16 and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, August 17 at the Main Street Playhouse, 114 South Main Street, Nicholasville. BLUEGRASSS 5K RESULTS

Nearly 400 runners and walkers participated in the Bluegrass State Games 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, July 25 at the RJ Corman Railroad Group Walking Trail. Overall top male finishers were Chris Hirsbrunner of Jefferson County, Matt Sykes of Pike County, and Daniel Thurston of Franklin County. Overall top female finishers were Colleen Cornelius of Fayette County, Rachel Whaley of Texas, and Tiffany Toler of Clark County. Complete results available at www.bgsg.org



HANDS PROGRAM HELPS PARENTS

Parents learned about pool safety and financial safety on Friday, July 24 at the Jessamine County Aquatic Center during the HANDS Summer Event. HANDS (Health Access Nurturing Development Services) is a free, state-sponsored program for parents of children up to 2 years old that provides advice, information and community resources to successfully cope with the worries, questions and stress of parenting.
