Both lanes of U.S. 68 remained closed Monday from the Mercer-Jessamine line to milepoint 1.5 near Ky. 33 (Pekin Pike) because part of the road collapsed, according to the Kentucky Department of Highways.
The closing is in effect indefinitely while repairs are made.
A suggested alternative route between Lexington and Harrodsburg-Mercer County is to take the Blue Grass Parkway to U.S. 127 to Harrodsburg.
