Food bank, computer center only some of ways SHARE Center to serve community

The SHARE Center on Georgetown Street opened Monday with an open house.

The name of the center is an acronym for Service for Human Advancement and Resource Enhancement. It has food and clothing banks, a computer room and a re-entry program for ex-felons.

Ihsan Bagby, president of the center, said it will help the Islamic community serve the broader community.

Regular operating hours are 3 to 5 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
