Central Kentucky resident Steve Zahn has a new television gig: star of the new ABC drama Mind Games, opposite Christian Slater. It debuts at 10 p.m. Feb. 25.

In the show, Zahn and Slater play brothers who bring a twist to the job of "fixer." They operate Edwards and Associates, a business based on the idea that people's decisions are influenced by their environment in ways they're not aware. They can tailor a plan to influence any life-altering situation.

Slater's character, Ross, is an ex-con, and Zahn's character, Clark, is a former professor and human-behavior expert who has bipolar disorder.

Perhaps influenced by the Showtime hit Homeland, which casts Claire Danes as a CIA agent with bipolar disorder, Mind Games isn't the only ABC show debuting soon that features a character with that condition. The network's The Black Box, debuting April 24, stars Kelly Reilly as a neuroscientist who is susceptible to manic episodes when she's not properly medicated.

Zahn, 46, is a longtime actor who recently completed a stint on HBO's post-Katrina drama Treme. He also appeared in the Oscar-nominated drama Dallas Buyers Club. He lives in Georgetown with his wife, Robyn Peterman-Zahn.
