For the 53rd year, some of North America's best border collies and their handlers have traveled to Lexington to participate in the Bluegrass Classic Stockdog Trial at Masterson Station Park.
The competition, one of the longest-running and largest in the nation, began Wednesday and runs through Sunday. Organizers have staged the event at Masterson Station Park since 1996 after previous stints at Walnut Hall Farm and the Kentucky Horse Park.
Admission is free and attendees are encouraged to bring their own dogs. Spectator raffles will be held and numerous vendors will be on hand throughout the day.
