There's no shortage of great shopping on North Lime this weekend. On Friday, it's the Night Market Halloween Edition from 7 to 11 p.m. on Bryan Avenue between North Limestone and Loudon Avenue.

The event, a collaboration between the North Limestone Community Development Corp. and Kentucky for Kentucky, will feature booths with local artists, food, a costume contest and music from Idiot Glee and The Young Heirlooms. For more info, go to Facebook.com/NoliCDC.

On Saturday at Vintage on Lime, 712 North Limestone, it's a Halloween open house 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop in and shop the eclectic mix of vintage décor, clothing and jewelry.

Mulberry & Lime, 216 North Limestone, is hosting a trunk show for jewelry designer Karen Lindner through Sunday. One-of-a-kind pieces feature vintage and modern elements, and include necklaces, earrings, bracelets and headpieces.

Other shopping news

■ Les and Linda Brooks, owners of The Party Store in Fayette Place on Nicholasville Road, have decided to retire, and all products in the store are discounted 60 percent until Nov. 15. Merchandise includes everyday party décor and accessories, and seasonal and University of Kentucky gift items from Mud Pie, Main Street, Coton Colors and other brands.

■ Meadowthorpe Antique Mall, 1455 Leestown Road, is offering specials during its Halloweenfest. Look for dealer discounts throughout the store during October.

■ Stalls Antiques and Interiors, 930 Winchester Road, hosts its final October open house 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. This week's event features Chinese export porcelain including Rose Medallion, Cabbage Rose and Canton. Refreshments will be served.

■ The Chic Boutiques, at Heritage Inn Bed and Breakfast, 189 Meridian Way in Richmond, will host vendors from around the state with an array of merchandise from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Columbia Steak Express will sell lunchtime fare. Admission is $10. Proceeds will go the Emergency Generator Campaign for McCready Manor, assisted living for the elderly.
