Country Club Prep opens with clothing for men, women, children

Country Club Prep opens on Friday at 807 Euclid Avenue. It's the company's second brick-and-mortar location. The first was in Charlottesville, Va. The company is based in Atlanta. There's also an online store at Countryclubprep.com.

Merchandise includes clothes and accessories for men, women and children. Brands include Smathers & Branson, Bourbon and Bowties, and State Traditions.

■ The Smiley Pete Tadoo Lounge Holiday Bazaar and Jamboree is 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at 434 Old Vine Street.

The evening will feature live music, food and merchandise by local artisans: Jonathan Lundy's hand-crafted bourbon-smoked sea salts, prints from Thirsty Hearts Design, hand-bound books by Zannah Reed, Stone & Wired jewelry and lots more.

MonTea at 814 Euclid Avenue will celebrate five years of business with a tea party 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Shoppers can sample teas and birthday cake; tea cookies and other refreshments will be served.

The shop, which carries more than 100 teas from all over the world, will also release its annual line of holiday teas.

Feather Your Nest Antiques at 1317 West Main Street will host a holiday open house Friday through Sunday with discounts and giveaways. From 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday refreshments will be served. Neighbors Meadowthorpe Antique Mall, 1455 Leestown Road and Linda's Cottage at 1496 Leestown Road will host holiday open houses 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

■ The Lexington Junior League presents The Holly Day Market Friday through Sunday at the Kentucky Horse Park Alltech Arena.

More than 70 vendors from around the country will sell jewelry, holiday decor, art, clothing and food. Proceeds will benefit local charities.

A VIP party is 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Admission is $25, which includes the $10 admission to the market. The evening will include appetizers, a signature cocktail in a commemorative glass and a silent auction.

Throughout the weekend, events will include a wreath auction, a Dillard's fashion show, Buffalo Trace bourbon tasting and more.

Shopping hours are noon to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10, available at the door or go to Lexjrleague.com for more info.

Carl Meyers at 111 Clay Avenue is hosting a trunk show of fashions from Weill of France. Check out the collection of jackets, dresses and blouses through Saturday.

■ The Athens Schoolhouse Antiques Show, 6270 Athens-Walnut Hill Pike, is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
