Maker's Mark honors Joe B. Hall

Maker's Mark is honoring former University of Kentucky men's basketball Coach Joe B. Hall with a limited-edition bottle that goes on sale Friday. The blue glass bottle, dipped in Kentucky blue wax, marks the 30th anniversary of Hall's 1978 NCAA championship. It sells for about $45 and proceeds go to cancer research at UK.

Hall will sign 1,300 bottles beginning at 6:30 a.m. April 11 at Keeneland Race Course. Maker's Mark President Bill Samuels Jr. and Keeneland President Nick Nicholson will join Hall for the event. If you're up for an all-nighter, tickets guaranteeing a signature will be distributed the evening of April 10. Bottles must be purchased in advance; they will not be for sale at Keeneland. Only 2008 commemorative bottles will be autographed; limit two bottles per person.

For more information on the signing, call Keeneland at (859) 254-3412 or visit www.keeneland.com.
