Reality television shows take on all sorts of situations.
There are dancing competitions (Dancing With the Stars), people who don’t know one another living together (Real World and Big Brother), fashion competitions (Project Runway), cooking contests (Top Chef), around the world races (Amazing Race) and housewives who don’t get along. For the Herald-Leader’s Dress the Turkey contest this year, we want you to transform the turkey you see here into any reality TV show character.
The best turkeys in the children’s category, for ages 12 and younger, and the best creation in the adult category, ages 13 and older, will receive prizes from Kroger.
You must use this turkey as the basis for your creation, but there are no restrictions on materials or colors. Enlarged photocopies are acceptable, but anything larger than 8-by-10 inches will not be published.
Mail your turkey to: Turkeys, Newsroom, Lexington Herald-Leader, 100 Midland Avenue, Lexington, Ky. 40508.
Or you can drop it off at the Herald-Leader’s front desk from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Emailed and faxed entries will not be accepted. Include your name, age, address and a daytime phone number.
All entries must be received by noon Nov. 7. The most eye-catching turkeys will appear Nov. 23 in Life + Neighbors.
