Asian Wind changes hands but not much else

Asia Wind founder George Wei has retired, and the restaurant at Palomar Centre has new owners.

Wei and a business partner opened Wind New Generation Chinese Restaurant in Palomar Centre in 1993, and in 1998, Wei became sole owner. He changed the menu to include more of the Asian continent and Pacific Rim (Korea, Vietnam, Hawaii, Thailand, India and Malaysia) and the name to Asian Wind. Wei, who has had a loyal following, said new owners Ronnie Chen and Donna Zheng will keep the same staff, and "they want to do what I've been doing."
