Country Boy Brewing and West Sixth Brewing have teamed to create a beer called Country Western that will be released during Lexington's first Craft Beer Week, which starts Monday and runs through May 19.

The hoppy pale ale will be introduced Monday at participating bars and restaurants and will be available only during Craft Beer Week. It also will be sold at the taprooms for Country Boy, 436 Chair Avenue, and West Sixth, 501 West Sixth Street.

Craft Beer Week is organized by, a website focusing on Lexington's craft brewers and bars and the local food truck scene.

Beer Week events also include a beer dinner Tuesday at The Village Idiot, 307 West Short Street. Seatings are at 6 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $45. Call (859) 252-0099.
