The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has released its quarterly ranking for nursing homes in Fayette and surrounding counties based on health, inspections, staffing and quality measures, the group Kentuckians for Nursing Home Reform announced.
Five stars(much above-average care)
Homestead Nursing Center, Tanbark Health Care Center, Pine Meadows Health Care and Cambridge Place, all in Lexington; Bourbon Heights Nursing Home, Paris; Telford Terrace, Richmond; and The Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Berea.
Four stars(above average care)
Cardinal Hill Rehab Unit at Samaritan Hospital and Sayre Christian Village Nursing Home, both in Lexington; and Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester.
Three stars (average care)
Rose Manor Health Care and Northpoint/Lexington Healthcare Center, both in Lexington; Kenwood Health and Rehabilitation Center and Madison Health & Rehabilitation Center, both in Richmond; and Signature Healthcare of Georgetown, Georgetown.
Two stars (below average care)
Mayfair Manor, Richmond Place Rehabilitation and Health Center and Lexington Country Place, all in Lexington; Dover Manor, Georgetown; and Royal Manor, Nicholasville. Bluegrass Care & Rehabilitation Center, Lexington and Kindred Traditional Care and Rehab — Fountain Circle, Winchester, are both designated as Special Focus Facilities, which means they have a history of persistent poor quality of care and have been selected for more frequent inspections.
