The fifth annual Markesbery Symposium on Aging and Dementia will be 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Lexington Convention Center, Bluegrass Room, 430 West Vine Street. This free informational program on Alzheimer’s disease will include presentations designed to highlight research and promote normal, healthy brain aging. It will conclude with a question-and-answer session on memory and brain health issues. Dr. Ronald Petersen of the Mayo Clinic, who treated former President Ronald Reagan and singer/songwriter Glenn Campbell, will be the keynote speaker.
