With family gatherings and holiday parties in full swing, it's time to deck the halls with sparkling décor.
Metallic accents have taken center stage the past few years on pillows, glassware, painted furniture — you name it.
For the holidays, display gold bowls, candle holders or vases among evergreen branches. Brighten the party table with a mix of gold and silver plates, mugs or napkins.
Search for traditional pieces such as julep cups, candlesticks and ornaments at antique stores. Modern metallics include gold-dipped pitchers in the Oh Joy! collection at Target, and whimsical plumage candelabras at Anthropologie at The Mall at Lexington Green.
