More than 9,400 visitors toured the six distilleries on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail in 2010, three times the visitors in 2009, according to the Kentucky Distillers' Association.
The trail was created in 1999 and currently includes Four Roses, Heaven Hill, Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, Wild Turkey and Woodford Reserve.
About 400,000 people visited at least one distillery last year, said Eric Gregory, KDA's president. Visitors who tour all six distilleries can get a KDA "passport" stamped and mail it in for a free T-shirt.
