Gordmans, at Fayette Plaza near Fayette Mall, has reopened.

The department store chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year. In April, Houston-based Stage Stores Inc. — which operates Bealls, Goody’s, Peebles and Palais Royal stores — acquired Gordmans.

Lexinghton’s other Gordmans store, at Hamburg Place, closed in 2016. But according to Patrick Madden, developer of Hamburg, there are no plans for that location to reopen.

Stage Stores operates about 800 stores in 40 states.

Gordmans carries discounted men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, fragrances and home décor.
