■ Kentucky State Highway Engineer Steve Waddle has been recognized with the 2015 Alfred E. Johnson Achievement Award by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.

The award, given annually by the association, recognizes contributions to management in the field of highway engineering made by Alfred E. Johnson, former executive director of AASHTO. It is awarded to the person rendering the most outstanding service to their department in the field of engineering or management, covering technical and administrative aspects.

The award is the capstone of Waddle's 27-year career as a civil engineer, all with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. He retired Oct. 1.

The Kentucky Association of Realtors has named the following award winners: Steve Cline, a broker with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services in Bowling Green and member of the Realtor Association of Southern Kentucky has been named Realtor of the Year; Ken Warden, principal broker and owner of Warden & Associates Realtors in Fort Thomas and a member of the Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors, has received the Distinguished Service Award; Doug Myers, a realtor with Semonin Realtors and a member of the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors, has received the Nat Sanders Education Award; and Bobby Hunton of Bowling Green and a member of the Realtor Association of Southern Kentucky, has received the Good Neighbor Award. Community Service Awards were presented to the following: Lexington Bluegrass Association of Realtors (large category), the Realtor Association of Southern Kentucky (medium category); and the Eastern Kentucky Association of Realtors (small category).
