The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board has granted Blue Grass Airport executive director Michael Gobb two more weeks of leave from his job.
Gobb asked for a month's leave under the Family Medical Leave Act on July 19 because of a ”serious health condition,“ according to a form he filled out.

He had been expected to return to work Aug. 19.
”We've granted Mike another two weeks of personal leave,“ airport board chairman Bernie Lovely said at a meeting Wednesday. Lovely said Gobb is expected to return to his job after Labor Day.
Also, Richard Hopgood, a lawyer with the firm Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, has been named a member of the airport board.
Hopgood, who is on his law firm's real estate and construction service team, begins his four-year term on the airport board this month.
Hopgood replaces Jeff Woods on the airport board.
