The hospitals announced their intention to join forces in February 2007.
Together the two organizations operate more than 1,000 hospital beds in Covington, Fort Thomas, Florence, Edgewood and Williamstown and provide more than 4,600 full-time jobs.
Joseph Gross, president and CEO of the new organization, said the hospitals would not lay anyone off as a result of the merger.
