Census Bureau to hire 2,000 in Ky.

The U.S Census Bureau has opened offices in Lexington and Louisville and will be filling 2,000 jobs across the state for early census operations. The census employees will help develop an address list in spring 2009. The address list will be used to deliver census questionnaires in 2010. The jobs are temporary, and some are part-time. In 2009, the Census Bureau will open five additional census offices in Kentucky to carry out the 2010 Census.
