Blue Grass Community Foundation said Wednesday that president and CEO Anne Nash will leave the organization June 3 to start a philanthropic consulting firm.
Nash came to the foundation in 2002 and oversaw a doubling of the its assets, to a high of $40 million in 2008, according to a news release.
Blue Grass Community Foundation, founded in 1967, is a sort of clearinghouse for donors to direct gifts.
Nash's new firm will focus on giving strategies for individuals, companies and foundations, and gift-planning services for non-profits.
