WINCHESTER — Anthony "Tony" Campbell has been named East Kentucky Power Cooperative's next president and chief executive officer. He will join the company June 8.
Campbell is now CEO of Citizens Electric Corp., an electric cooperative based in Sainte Genevieve, Mo. He has held that position since 2003.
"I am keenly aware of the tremendous challenges facing the electric industry today," Campbell said in a statement. "I look forward to working through those challenges along with EKPC's workforce, board of directors and distribution cooperatives."
Campbell succeeds the retiring Bob Marshall, who has served as EKPC's president and CEO since January 2007.
