Internet users with an e-mail addresses ending in alltel.net will no longer be able to receive e-mail as part of a phased removal process beginning today.

Since the deal, most customers have begun having their mail sent to windstream.net addresses.
Windstream spokesman David Avery said a small percentage of customers — in the single-digit percentage range — are using the alltel.net e-mails.
