Lexington-based Mersive Technologies has been named to Red Herring technology magazine's list of the top 100 most promising private technology ventures in North America.
It's an honor that's shared with the likes of companies such as Twitter.
Mersive, which was founded in 2004, combines low-cost projectors to create high-resolution displays that are cost-effective and easy to set up and maintain. The company's proprietary software enables alignment and blending of images from various projectors to create a seamless, high-definition display as large as needed.
It's a technology that has found applications in both commercial and military settings and also is gaining a foothold in education, engineering, and research and development organizations, Mersive said.
