Jobless rates rose in all of Kentucky's 120 counties from August 2008 to August 2009, according to statistics released Thursday by the state Office of Employment and Training.
Fayette County had the lowest unemployment rate at 8.2 percent, followed by Woodford (8.6 percent), Boyd (8.7 percent), Calloway (8.8 percent), and Oldham and Webster (8.9 percent each).
The highest unemployment rate was in Magoffin (20.9 percent) followed by Jackson (17.8 percent), Trigg (16.7 percent), Powell (16.6 percent) and Grayson (16.5 percent).
