Jobless rates rose in all of Kentucky's 120 counties from October 2008 to October 2009, according to statistics released Wednesday by the state Office of Employment and Training.
Fayette County had the lowest unemployment rate at 7.8 percent, followed by Calloway (8 percent), Boyd (8.4 percent), and Jessamine, Madison, Oldham, Rowan and Scott (8.8 percent each).
The highest unemployment rate was in Magoffin County (21.7 percent), followed by Jackson (17.5 percent), Powell (17.1 percent), Grayson (16.5 percent) and Metcalfe (15.8 percent).
