Hoosier Park parent files for bankruptcy

Centaur Gaming, the parent of the Indiana racetrack Hoosier Park, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Saturday.

According to a release from the company, the track, which has 2,000 slot machines, will remain open while the company restructures its debt.

Among the company's debts: $15 million owed to former track owner Churchill Downs. Centaur is privately held.
