The University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business & Economics will be hosting A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, a former president of India, for two weeks and will be organizing a conference with him on April 9.
"A Global Business Bridge: Linking Kentucky & India" will discuss and highlight ways for the state to form deeper business relationships with the country.
The program will include talks by senior executives and other leaders from both the United States and India, according to a news release. Among others in attendance will be Democratic U.S. Rep. Ben Chandler, U.S. Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.), who is one of the founders and co-chair of the congressional India and Indian-Americans Caucus, and Meera Shankar, India's ambassador to the United States.
The conference will be held at the Hilton downtown and costs $100. A dinner is also being held later that evening and costs an additional $125 per person. Register online at http://gatton.uky.edu/GBB.
